3 Cups shortening
3 Cups brown sugar
3 cups white sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
6 eggs
3 3/4 cup flour
3 tsp soda
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
9 Cups rolled oats

(Add 3 cups coconut for macaroons)
Place shortening, both sugars and eggs in bowl and cream. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Add oats and coconut. Roll into small balls. Bake 12-15 minutes in 400 degree oven.
